SyntHemp

SyntHemp is a twisted rope made of high tenacity polypropylene staple, a synthetic fibre that gives it good tensile strength and resistance to UV exposure.

Extremely lightweight, its 3-wooden structure makes it easy to splice and offers a perfect balance between strength and flexibility, keeping it manageable even after use.

Available in diameters from 4 to 40 mm, this floating rope has breaking strengths ranging from 170 kg for the thinnest diameter to 12,900 kg for the largest diameter.

It is supplied in rolls of 220 metres in length.

SyntHemp, thanks to its hemp-like colour and the woolly appearance of the special fibre from which it is made, is indistinguishable from natural fibre ropes, for which it is an exceptional substitute because it does not rot and requires no maintenance when exposed to the weather.

The high tenacity polypropylene staple guarantees maximum grip and hold both dry and wet.

Because of these special characteristics, it is particularly appreciated in the interior and exterior furnishing sector: ambience creation, set design, cladding, window dressing, staircase handrails, wharf fitting, area delimitation, handicrafts, objects and decoration of vintage boats.

Due to its excellent strength and low elongation, it is suitable for nautical fittings, on-board equipment, mounting hammocks and swings.

Compared to the OldStyle twisted rope, the SyntHemp offers better value for money being cheaper.
