SlimLine

SlimLine is a braid made of high tenacity polyester or high tenacity nylon (polyamide), both pre-stretched and without an inner core.

Its 16/24 spindle construction allows for excellent knot holding and keeps it soft and manageable even after use.

Available in diameters from 0.5 to 3 mm, this sinking braid has breaking strengths ranging from 35 kg for the thinnest diameter to 200 kg for the largest diameter.

The high tenacity polyester outer stocking guarantees high resistance to abrasion and UV exposure, while the nylon ensures excellent tear absorption and a higher breaking strength.

It is supplied in 100-metre flanged reels.

The SlimLine, thanks to the variety of diameters in which it is produced, is ideal in the nautical sector as a braid for tying and sewing splices on ropes, particularly in the 0.8 mm diameter. It is made of high-tenacity polyester and has a special polyurethane protective resin impregnation for maximum waterproofing and sealing.

Due to its high resistance to breakage and abrasion, it is also in demand as a line for spearguns, on-board equipment and the 2.5 and 3 mm diameters are required as flag lines.

The various diameters and the 3 colours in which it is made (white, black and navy blue) perfectly match the colours of the mooring lines commonly available on the market.

In the upholstery industry, the version made of high tenacity nylon is particularly popular for technical stitching as it is very tensile resistant and has a high tear-absorbing capacity.
